47 children (24 girls and 23 boys) from the
primary school and 15 children (5 girls and 10 boys) from the Intercollege
received school fees, uniforms and books. (The junior high school, high
school and sixth form are now combined and officially recognised by the
government as a comprehensive covering Years 6 to 12. In India, such
schools are known as intercolleges.)
Funds were also given for a training session for primary
schoolteachers and for supplementing their salaries.
