How can you give?
There are two simple ways you can make a regular gift to VRI. All you need to do is decide how you would like to give and complete the relevant simple form.
Payroll Giving
Payroll Giving enables you to make charitable donations straight from your gross salary (before tax has been deducted). This means that you get immediate tax relief on the value of your donation. Therefore, for a basic rate taxpayer wanting to give a £10 donation, it will only cost £7.80, or just £6 for higher rate taxpayers. Many employers are encouraging the scheme by matching their employees' donations.
If you a UK taxpayer, paid through PAYE, your company is almost certainly eligible to offer Payroll Giving (they may refer to the scheme using a specific brand name, such as Give As You Earn).
You can arrange this through your employer, giving them our details on the contact us page.
or....Direct from your bank account
You can arrange to support the Fund direct from your bank account. You can cancel or change it at any time. Simply complete the form and return it to VRI.Bank standing order (click here for Word format)
Gift Aid allows you to increase the value of your donations to any charity by nearly 30%. A £10 donation is worth £12.80 to VRI at no extra cost to you; and that’s a big difference for a small charity!
As long as you are a UK taxpayer, VRI can reclaim from the Inland Revenue the basic rate tax paid on your donation making your gift worth 28% more. All you need to do is complete the Gift Aid section on the bank form above.
